Filippo Papa (born in Leonforte, Italy, on October 24, 1986) is a contemporary ritual performer and visual artist. He graduated with honors in Graphic Design, served as a Teaching Fellow at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania, and has also taught Art History. He is also a cultural promoter and the founder, president, and artistic director of the Epos Contemporaneo International Art Award. His practice explores the relationship between body, ritual, matter, image, and symbolic form through performance, photography, and mixed media. With more than thirty solo exhibitions and live performance art projects presented internationally, his work has been shown in Italy and abroad. He is the recipient of numerous international awards and recognitions, and his work has been featured in important publications in the fields of contemporary art and photography. He lives in Italy and works internationally, pursuing an artistic vision that unites thought, body, and spirit in an ever-evolving language.
