Filippo Papa (born in Leonforte, Italy, October 24, 1986) is a contemporary performance artist whose practice is grounded in ritual processes and material outcomes, generating material works, photography, and mixed media. He graduated with honors in Graphic Design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania, where he served as a Teaching Fellow in graphic disciplines, and has also worked as a lecturer in Art History. With over thirty solo exhibitions and more than thirty performance projects presented in Italy and abroad, his career is marked by a sustained engagement with performative action understood as a generative act, operating across diverse geographical, cultural, and linguistic contexts. His work has received numerous awards, recognitions, and international publications, establishing a contemporary artistic language rooted in the dialogue between body, matter, image, and symbolic form.
